Wow! What a crazy summer I’ve had. I’ve been getting ready for my new job and unfortunately haven’t had time to update my blog in several weeks. To all of my loyal followers (that would probably be a total of 9), I apologize for the lack of tea blogging. The good news is that I have in fact been drinking my tea. Iced is my preference when it’s 100 degrees outside. What do you cool off with in the hot summer months?

I lived for a time in India.
During that time, there was numerous days where it was 100 degrees with 100% humidity.
A old Indian Gentleman told me to drink hot tea to cool me down.
I was grumpy and hot and desperate.
The first time I tried it I was astonished to how it actually seemed to helped.
So, now Rain or Shine I drink hot tea.
Just yesterday Golden Moon posted this article talking about the very same thing:

I’ve been making some good iced tea, including straight black tea brewed from Ahmad Tea’s Kalami Assam or Ceylon OPA, and iced herbal tea made from green rooibos. I’ve tried green rooibos both from Upton Tea Imports and Mountain Rose Herbs lately. And of course, my favorite iced drink is iced herbal tea made from a mixture of fresh lemon balm and spearmint…that’s what I grew up drinking in the summer, and it’s hard to beat. Apple mint also makes a good addition or substitute for the spearmint.
